Welcome to the Nomad Life

Luke and Jennifer MacNeil – MacNeils on Wheels

We’re Jennifer and Luke MacNeil and we are full-time RV nomads exploring the United States in a 36′ Fifth Wheel. We travel with our two dogs Sophie and Dobby. We take photos, make videos, and tell stories – all of which, you can find here.

Creative Mercenary Nomads

We travel to some interesting places. Sometimes we find off-the-beaten-path campgrounds like The UFO Watchtower in Colorado or Bent-Limb Alpaca Farm in Pennsylvania. Sometimes we stay off-grid on public lands and live off of solar power and tanks full of water. Sometimes we workamp in some of the most beautiful locations in the United States. We meet all kinds of interesting people and learn about the world around us. We take photos and make videos. We sing songs and tell stories.

 Vermillion Cliffs Wilderness, Arizona

Swirling Red and orang rocks make a colorful rock formation with sparse desert bushes growing where they can.
Mysterious rock hoodoos stand in clusters under the Milky Way.

Devil’s Garden, Utah

A playground of other-worldly hoodoos and grand arches nestled deep inside the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. An ideal location for astrophotography, several miles down Hole in the Rock Road – an arduous trail for early Mormon pioneers.
