10/27/21 We arrived in Colorado early in the afternoon and thank goodness for that as it took us some time to find a campsite after the road to the place we had picked out was closed. They didn’t provide a place to turn around at the road closure so we had to back up for about a quarter mile until we reached a spot to turn around. We Explore the Badlands

October 18, 2021 We started out this week at a little campground in Interior, South Dakota just outside of the Badlands National Park.  We had purchased the National Park Pass before we left home knowing that we wanted to visit many of these along our journey.   Our first objective was to get our new driver’s licenses so we collected a receipt from the campground to prove we had spent a night in South Dakota and drove on over to the Rapid City Driver’s License Exam station to become South Dakota residents.  We also had already set up our digital mailbox in South Dakota…

Damn South Dakota is windy!

October 13, 2021 A lot happened in this past week so I’ll tell the story in order. We started out on October 7th moving into a better hotel.  We really had to do a lot of talking to executives about the condition of the hotel we were staying in currently, the hardship that not having our RV was causing us, the promises that had been made on their company website and by the dealership when we bought this rig, and our unrelenting willingness to let everyone we could know just how awful our experience had been. The Road Gets Tough Early

October 7, 2021 We set off for good on October 1st. We learned how to use the engine brakes and had a bit of a scare when a motorist flagged us down. It turned out the we didn't have my scooter strapped to the back well enough so we added some straps and now she's not budging.
